Missing Worlds Media, the community group behind "The Phoenix Project" has posted a few interesting pieces of information over the past week or so.
While it might not be a whole lot of information, it's great to see this project continue to move towards a reality - if I recall correctly Fall of 2015 is the target "go-live" date
That city hall mockup they have on the cityoftitans site is amazing.
The team has been in something of an organisational rush because of that Kickstarter campaign, and a lot of work is being put into something to show. You'd think writing would be the easiest part of it, but with the volume of content we have to work with, that's surprisingly a ton of work, especially when we start shuffling projects around. I'd say it's moving quite well, though, and I'm excited to see what the Kickstarter campaign will bring.
Of all the things I've lost,I think I miss my mind the most.

I certainly wouldn't.
(Sorry, I walked right into that one. In my favor, I deleted the long rant about the nobel prize for literature, the pulitzer prize for journalism, that many nations have poet laureates, etc.)
Well, I would have, at least. Writing's about the only aspect of game design which doesn't require expensive software, at the very least - just time, effort and forethought. I know it's not easy, but compared to graphics design or programming? It seems like the easier choice. It's why I've done so much of it
The real problem with writing, though, is managing a very large group of independent writers into a single cohesive continuity, so that we can craft a consistent, believable world. This is something we're given tremendous weight to in writing, and that makes me incredibly happy. Future reveals are planned out ahead of time and just-in-time additions are always fit into continuity in ways that really takes an editor to accomplish.
Put it this way - it's been a lot of work and will be a lot more work before it's done, but I'm very happy with it
There's been a new blog post that explains some of the growing pains, fallout with initial project leads/designers, and the delay on Kickstarter post on the City of Titans website:
The TLDR; version - real life shit and disagreements happened to the community, but life also moves forward, and the crew thinks we'll all be proud of the pre-alpha stuff that will be shared upon the Kickstarter release
I look forward to what this project evolves into, and wish them nothing but the best of luck. I know this is a project that SB and I both want to back
Here's a super quick teaser from Missing Worlds Media - looks like the KickStarter page might go live in 3 days!
And according to this post, the official project name for the Kickstarter Project will be City of Titans!
No word on if this title could end up being the official name of the released game, but I wouldn't argue if it was
Anyone find it a little sad that the first episode of Arrow season 2 is 'City of Heroes'?
