Drop us a line in our Visitors and Honored Guests Forum. Introduce yourself, that way we can make sure our leads/leader get a chance to play with you and see if the group's dynamics and play schedule match up with your own (and visa versa).

In City of Heroes we have a recruiting channel to better facilitate communication between applicants and members in game. So make sure to join the Adversity Info Channel

  • In the chat window, type /chan_join AdversityInfo

  • Add the Info Channel to your chat window (right click on the Chat tab, choose edit, and then place AdversityInfo in the left hand pane of the window, and click OK).



Please note that the global channels are only available to VIP players as well as Premium and Free players that have fully unlocked the third Paragon Rewards tier. You can find more information about Paragon Rewards here.

Additionally, free players are unable to join a super group unless they unlock the second Paragon Rewards tier. If you are a free player and have not done this, you are welcome to register on our site and join us for events without actually joining the super group or until a time that your paragon reward status is upgraded.

Communication



All members have access to the following communication channels with the following guidelines.

All communication channels of the SG must be used with maturity and moderation. Conversations related to sex, drugs, illegal activities, religion or politics should generally be avoided.

Coalitions
New coalitions are discussed by leaders and officers before being established.

Private Channels
We have a global channel named AdversitySG that we use to chat and team up. Anyone with operator status (officers and leaders) can invite members to this channel, and is usually done so either shortly before or after being formally invited to the group.

TeamSpeak 3 Server
Our Members have access to our own TeamSpeak 3 Server (voice chat). If you've never used TeamSpeak 3 or similar voice chat software before, it adds a totally new dimension of fun and friendship when running missions with our gaming community. We strongly encourage members to use this tool when in game, especially when it comes to more challenging tasks and for some events we require TeamSpeak.
